MD601Ex/ MD611Ex may provide an acceptable, though less sensitive, alternative. For general use, and particularly where the ambient temperature may be low, a ' Rate-of-Rise' heat sensor is to be preferred.
This type of sensor reacts to abnormally high rates of change of temperature and provides the fastest response over a wide range of ambient temperatures. A fixed temperature limit is also incorporated in these detectors.
